An object to be both looked at and looked through, an aparatus for longing explores loss and practices of looking. Fabricated using components from a deconstructed enlarger, I attempt to document an ephemeral moment in its truest sense; an attempt capture duration. Always in a process of response and always failing in its attempt to preserve, the image is never fixed but always in a state of movement; continually responding to its surroundings, it becomes about the act of looking, the act of searching.
